Project Phase: Estimating Delivery Method: General Contract-Sub Estimating made the assumption that VDLs were shipped in and never ran off. CCC doubled hours due to this. Manual provided for installation was not used per VDL Expert.

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Design was not finalized early enough in the project. Caused design iteration. COURSE OF ACTION None LESSON LEARNED Put more emphasis on the fact that a scrap handling design is critical path.
