Job #3007 Ford Chicago Assembly - Demolition

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

The plant was extremely loud during the demolition which made it difficult to communicate via cell phone.

ROOT CAUSE

Did not plan for how team would effectively communicate amongst high noise levels.

COURSE OF ACTION

No course of action was taken as this was recognized in hindsight.

LESSON FOR FUTURE PROJECTS

Each team CCC team member including all subcontractors should be issued a CB to be utilized for communication during the shutdown to foster better communication in noisy areas.
