What is required for Civil in 3D Model

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
Civil Design/Build is usually based on existing top surveys and existing Civil drawings.  These are never accurate as far as dimensions go (most cases). Although the routing is sometimes close the act of integrating a new Model design with archival u/g drawings to reduce clashes is arbitrary and unlikely. Problem lies with integrating 3D Model U/G in building and outside building. It’s a guessing game that the routing works.  Is this really needed.

COURSE OF ACTION
None

LESSON LEARNED
This may improve if model drawings and better records are kept and used in future design.  Better internal management of documents. Otherwise, it’s a lot of money and model design wasted for arbitrarily trying to achieve a clash free u/g model.
