  STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
All of the above factors did not export the best and most efficient design for the new 354 roof to tie into the existing 384 roof.  Existing slopes and drains were not engineered with actual site conditions taken into account. This type of situation is not easily noticed on paper or in a DIM or WIM.  It is an item that experience will show must be considered.

COURSE OF ACTION
Problem was corrected to an extent that satisfied warranty and integrity of roof, but improvements to slope could not be made without changing truss slope. Crickets were altered to extent of code.

LESSON LEARNED
Better field survey of existing roof during design phase. For difficult roof slopes and drainage flows, may consult a roof specialist. This would be a special 3rd party design carried by EOR.
