Statement of Problem:
After substantial completion, the Owner''s facility maintenance person questioned the door swing of the electrical room, which swings into the room. He cited that per building code, any electrical room with equipment rated 800A or more, that the door must be an egress door opening out.

The architect confirmed this requirement, and CCC had to remove the existing door and frame from masonry wall and install new egress door and frame. This added cost and extended schedule. Cost to replace was backcharged to Architect.
