| STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: A pair of Auto Openers located on the 1st floor were missed. The majority of our work consisted on the second floor and the 1st floor auto openers were overlooked. The problem with this pair of openers is that they mounted to existing aluminum doors and this was not something that we could self perform. COURSE OF ACTION: Although the drawings were vague and not very descriptive, we still had to supply the auto openers. We contacted Glasco and they inturn had Stanley Access furnish and install the openers. LESSON FOR FUTURE PROJECTS: We purchased our door hardware through LaForce. In the future we should clarify that they covered all door hardware associated with the project. Also, CCC should double check before ordering that all hardware on all floors is accounted for. Door hardware suppliers typically exclude hardware for glass/aluminum storefronts so these have to be checked/verified. |
