| STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Many Subcontractors are not familiar with 3D Model design and/or design build. The limited pool of contractors who can bid GM work due to NMA and Safety Guidelines is very limited. Problem is learning curve to train subcontractors to build per model without the proverbial "shoving the requirements down their throat" approach. If the previous means and methods worked and were successful, why change? COURSE OF ACTION CCC Developed form to use to reduce field vs. model routing and installation errors. LESSON LEARNED Need to develop a better QC/QA program to constantly walk project with model and review model vs. field routing. Better review of 2D extractions to confirm added dimensions are correct and match model. |
