Cost savings for reducing or eliminating irrigation to landscaping/lawn can be tremendous via reduced consumption of water. When landscape is being designed, guide design to include grasses, shrubs, and trees that are hardy and native to the region. Using this type of vegetation will reduce operating cost and can also contribute to LEED credits.
